France Scholarship For International Students 2024

As of my last update in January 2022, there are various scholarships available for international students to study in France. These scholarships are offered by the French government, universities, and other organizations to support international students pursuing higher education in France. Here are some common scholarships for international students:

  1. École Normale Supérieure (ENS) International Selection Scholarship: ENS offers scholarships for international students to pursue master’s or PhD programs in various fields. These scholarships cover tuition fees and provide a monthly stipend for living expenses.
  2. Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program: The Eiffel Scholarship Program, offered by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, provides scholarships to outstanding international students for master’s and PhD programs at participating French universities. The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, and other expenses.
  3. Erasmus+ Scholarships: The Erasmus+ program offers scholarships for international students to study at European universities, including those in France. These scholarships support study abroad, exchange programs, and joint master’s degrees.
  4. Campus France Scholarships: Campus France, the French national agency for the promotion of higher education, offers various scholarships for international students, including the Charpak Scholarship for Indian students, the Eiffel Doctorate Scholarship for PhD students, and the French Embassy Master’s Scholarship for students from developing countries.
  5. French Government Scholarships: The French government offers scholarships for international students through various programs, including the French Embassy Scholarship Program, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships, and the French Government Excellence Scholarship Program (BGF).
  6. University Scholarships: Many universities in France offer scholarships and financial aid to international students based on academic merit, financial need, or other criteria. These scholarships may be offered directly by the universities or through external funding sources.
  7. Research Scholarships: International students pursuing research or doctoral studies in France may be eligible for research scholarships offered by French research institutions, laboratories, or funding agencies.

It’s important for prospective international students to research and apply for scholarships well in advance of their intended start date for studies in France. Each scholarship program will have its own eligibility criteria, application process, and deadlines, so students should carefully review the requirements and instructions provided by the scholarship providers. Additionally, students may also explore other sources of funding, such as grants, fellowships, and assistantships, to support their studies in France.
